I'm a Comptuer Science and Computer Engineering student at Kettering University (Formally GMI Engineering & Management Institute). My main interests were mentioned on the main page. I'm also a major UNIX advocate and deplore all windowed Graphical User Interfaces (GUI, pronounced 'Gooey'). In my opinion, vi is the best and ONLY text editor. Those UNIX gurus out there know what I mean :). I love to spend long nights in front of a computer counting clock cycles of hand coded assembly language, and optimizing (to the best of my ability) lots of high level code as well. My main interests in Computer Science are A.I. and Graph Theory. Artificial Intelligence intrests me because I love making my code smart, and it would be even nicer to have code that was smart enough to think and act like people. I find graph theory very interesting mainly because of the wide variety of applications that it has, and I took a course in it here at Kettering University. I also like to go to movies with my friends and hang out, go shopping, take car trips etc, but that's nothing unusual in a person. I have a few friends, and tend to spend more time with them than on a computer or programming.
Also, because of Kettering's unique co-op program, I work 3 months then goto school for 3 months starting as a freshman in college. And when I graduate eventually, I'll have over 2 years of full-time work experience. Right now, I'm currently employed by Rockwell Software and I do software development for them. I plan on working for them for the rest of my time at college, but I don't really know yet what I'll be doing after I finish college. One option is grad school, but I just have to think of a way to afford it, which is where getting a full-time job comes in :).
