Frank was born August 5, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan, and raised in the Motor City where he blundered about in high school, played pinochle through college, and eventually graduated from Wayne State University with a degree in Business Administration and later with a Masters Degree in Education. He spent thirty-five years as a teacher pushing chalk and instructing the children in the elementary schools of the Lamphere School District of Madison Heights, Michigan, a nearby suburb. He lives in Troy, Michigan, another close suburb, with his wife Christine, their youngest daughter Susan, and a brain-challenged mutt named Daisy. Frank is the father of six children, the oldest two being twenty-nine and the youngest nine, with three others spaced between.

Frank enjoys chatting with his wife, visiting with his children, babysitting his grandsons Sean and Luke, and advancing his knowledge of family genealogy by squandering precious hours at the computer with his Family Tree Maker program. Currently, he is writing a series of fictional and poetical works which are detailed elsewhere at this site. He also serves as a part-time volunteer at the Hill School Library where daughter Susan is advancing her education, and assists her teacher once a week with his computer class. [Late bulletin: The option for this activity has not been renewed for the 1998-1999 school year] An avid follower of the stock market, Frank makes no recommendations other than to buy the best and hang on for the rollercoaster ride the market takes. In his idle moments (ha! ha!) he contributes to favored sites on the web which honor and promote the creative genius of Howard Phillips Lovecraft, one of his favorite authors. Frank is a keen enthusiast of Michigan. Having visited most of the states, he is firmly convinced that few, if any, offer such a variety of scenic and historic attractions as does the Water Wonderland. His favorite towns are Houghton, located in the northwestern part of the Upper Peninsula, and Copper Harbor, forty miles further north at the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula, the northern most point of Michigan. The wild and craggy shoreline of Lake Superior, the gorgeous and aromatic pine and hard-wood forests, the scenic mountain ridges, blend with the fascinating history of the area’s bygone copper mining days. There is much to see and do, lots of pasties to eat, and many delightful restaurants to experience. Frank and his family can be found up there annually in July or August relaxing and regenerating there spiritual batteries for another year.
