The large pigeon known as "The Big Kahuna" strode into the room. The trio of smaller pigeons quickly dove to the floor to kiss his feet. He then turned to Iggy and mumbled something. The words were so mangled that Iggy couldn't understand them at all. The Big Kahuna then sighed and spoke to one of the smaller pigeons.
"The Big Kahuna says he drug you here for special purpose," the pigeon said, careful not to mess up any of the words. "He says he owed Sammy from a deal long ago. The only way to pay him back now is to find who killed him."
Iggy sat up and looked at both of the pigeons. "It's a big job! There were dozens of people with all types of reasons to bump him off."
The Big Kahuna mumbled again. The smaller pigeon began to translate, "The Big Kahuna says he'll give you plenty if the job's done. He says he'll also furnish you with whatever you need."
"Good," Iggy nodded. "First I'll need a list of the people from the party."
Later, in Iggy's Dectective Office:
Iggy stared at the paper once again. He first scratched off names that wouldn't have known Sammy, then the names that would have no reason to. After that, he went through the remaining to see who would be daring enough and have enough need to kill Sammy.
