TEMPLE SPIRES

Each spire points upward, to the heavens above,
Straight as a die, carved in beauty, with love,
They stand above the building, to be seen far and wide,
This edifice built for God we should never want to hide.

This spire is made of marble that shines in the sun,
And is floodlit to be seen when the long day is done.
Cast your eyes upward and see it brightly shine,
Just like the light of the gospel in your heart and mine.

The spire sends a message that we should be heaven bound,
Aiming always upward, where rich blessings are to be found,
Blessings that are promised us in the temple here below
If we aim high, like the spire, as through this life we go.
