WHAT BETTER PLACE

What better place to sit and all the scriptures read,
Than within the walls of the temple, where we are freed
From the tumult of all worldly things that distract
Our minds from heavenly thoughts, so study, meditate, then act.

What better place to contemplate with true thankful hearts,
Than in God’s holy temple, of the gifts that God imparts
To us His little children, who are striving hard to grow
Worthy of a celestial home, when past death’s door we go.

What better place to learn the meaning of God’s plan,
Than within the bounds of His earthly home, where we can
Truly feel His presence, know that He is our king,
Open our minds and hearts, like children, learn everything.

What better place to meet with friends and share perfect love,
Than in this lovely temple, so we can prepare for above
With hearts filled with longing for more knowledge everyday,
And have his presence very close every step of the way.

So why not come to the temple every chance you get?
Don’t leave many seats empty lest one day you forget
The value of His temple given freely to mankind
For a better, holier, more joyful place is very hard to find.
