WE ALL NEED THE TEMPLE

We all need the temple to show us the way back home,
We need it so we stay close to God, never want to roam
In paths that lead to sorrow, paths that lead to sin,
We all need the temple and the blessings therein.

We all need the peace that flows like a refreshing stream,
We need the comfort and the strength, a place to dream
Of heavenly goals and feel the kind, gentle power
That flows through the building, healing us every hour.

We all need the knowledge that we find here inside,
We need the understanding, and the love that does abide
In our beautiful temple, for us Saints in latter days,
For it is the path to glory and the knowledge of His ways.

So, if we all need the temple, come Saints today,
Wend your wand’ring footsteps to the temple and stay
Just for a short while, let God know of your need,
By serving with understanding and other souls feed.
