I WAS THINKING
I was thinking of going to the temple just the other day,
Thought it would be good to attend, help someone on their way
Along the path to glory, to help a soul God’s peace to find,
But realize that with all my work I was very far behind.
I was thinking of going to the temple, needed some peace in me,
I needed to enter the temple to find peace and sweet serenity,
But friends had tickets to a game that I really wanted to see,
Maybe later on in the month I’ll find some time to be free.
It is no use thinking about the temple if we don’t attend,
For within these walls to His children God His blessings send,
Many people wait for you to walk through that door
To work for others and learn of His blessings galore.
So when thinking of attending the temple, just up and go,
Do not hesitate a moment or away the opportunity throw,
But come rejoicing with hearts alight with His love,
Come, don’t just think, so you will know our God above.
