        WELCOMING
How welcoming is the temple’s gentle peace,
In a world where turmoil never seems to cease,
Tranquillity and calm fills this holy place
As we bask in the sweet serenity of His grace.

Sweeter than green pastures, fresh and inviting,
More soothing than any pure fountain sparkling,
For the rest of the Lord is found calmly here within,
A quiet peace that is away from earths chaotic din.

A heavenly balm lovingly covers me with rich content,
Filling me with strength to be ever heavenward bent,
It fills me with the desire to serve my God above,
For in the temple e are endowed with His pure love.

Where else can be found gentle peace and healing,
Where else but in God’s house of eternal sealing?
Feel the goodness tranquillity and calm can bring,
Feel it flow through you, then listen to the angels sing.

Come to God’s own temple, come and here stay
Just for a little while and humbly, quietly pray,
Work for those departed give then a gift divine,
Be a kind saviour to some lonely heart that pines.
