TALK ABOUT
What should we talk about in these holy walls,
For who may be walking along these sacred halls,
We really don’t need to know that Ron has gout,
That kind of conversation we can do without.
Yes, ask how we are, answer simple, honest and true,
Don’t go into gory details so put people in a stew.
This is the House of the Lord, speak of Holy things,
And of the sweet joy the light of the gospel brings.
Leave the troubles of the world far, far behind,
Open your heart to the spirit, comfort and solace find.
Soak up the sweet spirit, let it fill you full of clear light,
Bask in the gifts of the temple, so your light may shine bright.
No worldly troubles mention for it could send the spirit away,
We can talk about the bad news on some other day,
Keep Gods house free from earths cruel and foul ways,
Enter with kind, happy hearts, wanting to sing His praise.
