More poems about Working in the Temple

        SITTING IN THE TEMPLE
Sitting in the temple waiting for our shift to begin,
Just being here quietly, you feel His presence within,
A calm peace fills you, heals your world weary soul,
Like a soothing balm that spreads to make you whole.

The closeness of His spirit is like a constant prayer,
Revelation and inspiration is filling the silence there,
For the veil is very thin in the sacred house of the Lord,
As wisdom comes flowing as we study His holy word.

Come with all your problems, lay them at His pierced feet,
Feel the burdens lighten as kindred spirits you gladly greet,
Serving as humble saviours for those now long dead,
Working for those who without true knowledge went ahead.

Come with a mind open to understand God’s mysteries
And of the old prophets and their knowing prophesies,
Come and grow in spirit, in truth and knowledge too,
For within the temple God’s wisdom flows through.
