        IN THE TEMPLE
What do we hear in the temple?
Kind words spoken soft and low,
We hear within the walls of the temple
Answers to prayer as through life we go.
When we come here to the temple
We hear the voice of instructions true,
As we really listen well in the temple
The mysteries will come clearly through.
Something else we may hear in the temple,
Angelic voices singing God’s praise
And if we wait quietly in the temple,
We will sweet hear revelation that stays.

Tell me what can we see at the temple?
As we attend some knowledge to gain,
Come, gaze at the beauty of the temple,
Beauty that nowhere else is quite the same,
As you see all the pictures in the temple,
Each one a sweet message to you can give,
So many of them are found in the temple
Showing us the right way for us to live.
You may see one day in the temple
Happy spirits from beyond the grave
Thanking us all who work in the temple,
Because we came them kindly to save.

What do we do in God’s holy temple?
Do we sit doing nothing, idly lazing around?
No, for there is much to do in the temple
In the quietness there, there’s a busy sound
As we serve our God in His temple
Trying always to do His sacred will,
Very few moments in the temple
Do we have time stop to be ever so still,
For body and mind are busy in the temple
By helping others, so doing His will.
