SPIRITUAL FEAST
Sometimes in the temple every now and then,
It feels that you have entered into a part of heaven,
It happened to me whilst working the other day
A great spiritual feast came so quietly my way.
To help increase the numbers I went on a session,
I thought Id be tired but I was alert in possession
Of every faculty, the name I had wanted to be there,
I knew I was the answer to an often whispered prayer.
It was like being there for the very first time for me,
Each word and sight full of meaning and simplicity,
I sat on the edge of my seat so as not to miss one thing,
Mary A Masseys heart with love and joy did sing.
I felt a different person, I felt her sweet thankfulness,
She told me many times how much her I did bless,
Tears ran down my face as I enjoyed again like new
All the things I took for granted, but that day I grew.
She walked close beside me when I went to change,
I felt her ask me not to leave which seemed strange,
I spoke out loud, told her she could stay without me,
Wander around the temple for now she was set free.
I know that spirit walked around the temple that night
Remembering everything, so rejoicing with all her might,
Just every now and then sometime the veil is so very thin,
And you can be blessed by feeling part of heaven within.
