QUIETNESS
When being so very quiet,
And feeling peace within
When resting a weary mind
From this world of din.

Can you feel the healing
That comes with closeness
To the Lord, know His will
As you He gently does bless.

Find in these sacred walls
A place to hear the Lord,
Where you can truly know
The meaning of His word.

Listen and he will softly tell
Of what needs to be done,
Tell in tones sweet and low
Of how God’s heaven is won.

Come in and be very quiet,
Feel the peace and tranquillity
Hear in the sacred silence
Of things that are meant to be.

You will hear Him calling,
Calling your humble name,
Know He knows who you are,
You will never be the same.

For in the quiet of the temple
You know He is close somewhere,
Standing quite close beside you,
Answering that silent prayer.
