PSALM OF THANKSGIVING
I was glad when they said I could still
serve in the House of the Lord,
My heart rejoiced with loud acclaim
as I try and learn His holy word,
I will sing of Gods great love and mercy
all day and into the night
And my voice will rend the air with
my praises of joy and delight.
I will give thanks for knowing of the truth
deep with my stubborn heart,
And offer to thee my oblations by striving
my best to do my small part.
Words cannot be uttered what my glad
heart feel deep within,
As I serve in the temple tucked away
from fear, hate and sin.
May I strive to be worthy of all the temple
gifts to us so freely given,
I will give thanks for ever to my God
for showing me the way to heaven.
