STRIVING
Striving every day to do better,
Not let cruel sin bind or fetter,
But let our bodies a temple be,
Of eternal blessing be worthy.
Temples are scattered far and wide,
Where our dear Lord may often abide,
Do we feel worthy to quietly enter in,
Striving to be free from evil and sin?
Striving hard is all He ever asks,
Live well through our daily tasks,
That we can often enter in and say
Lord, I did strive hard this day.
Think of being safely serving there,
Being of service, done in love and care,
Salvation you offer to those gone ahead,
Loved ones we call, quite wrongly, dead.
Offer them the fullness of the gospel,
Release someone from the bonds of hell,
Helping someone find the right way,
Knowing pure joy on their freedom day.
Keep striving so you may be able to go past
Angels who guard heavens gate, when at last
Each name is called, then we may enter in,
As long as we go one striving to be free from sin.
We are told those we have worked for will cheer
As we pass through the veil, their joy very clear,
Research or the temple work, they will all say,
Thank you for all you did for me on my day..
Imagine the joy as they each shake your hand,
Making them part of the Lords happy band,
Knowing you did your part, how tears will flow,
So strive to be worthy everywhere we go.
