SEEING NATURE
Did you see the moon last night? Bright as could be,
She looked like a lost phantom on some stormy sea,
Ghost-like she glided from dark clouds to clear sky,
Quite few people stopped as she sailed silently by.
Did you see the stars, between the clouds that rolled?
They seemed much brights last night, lovely to behold,
It was though there was magic in the cool night air,
for those who were abroad something special was there.
Maybe my eyes were not dimmed by worldly things,
But felt the true beauty of nature and the joy it brings,
An awakening inside, an awareness of gifts give to me
From the raising of the sun to the moon on a stormy sea.
Did you see how bright the flowers seem this year?
How blue the sky, how well birds sing, and how near
To perfect this wonderful world of nature seems to be,
Made by a loving God, who made it all to give joy to me.
