TEMPLE VOICES
There is no raucous laughter, no loud voices heard,
No yelling or angry cries, just a quiet, gentle word
Spoken in temple voices, showing love and reverence true,
As if expecting Deity to wander their temple home through.

Soft toned voices speaking kind words of comfort and love,
Sweet tones that are used in the celestial homes up above,
No sordid stories, no evil words unleashed from the tongue,
Pure words of rejoicing, spoken by temple workers throng.

No vicious, unkind thoughts should enter into any head,
No words of discontentment, no cruel words ever said.
The temple should be a haven where love and peace are found,
Where everywhere is calm, and gentleness is in every sound.

Why don’t we keep our temple voices and feelings when outside?
Make each home a better place, where Deity would want to abide,
If we can say, ‘love is spoken here in the temple,’ now let us try
To carry on in the same sweet tones, love in every heart sweetly sigh.

Then how the joy will fill our lives, with temple voices all around,
Could you imagine the homes with those sweet melodic sounds?
If that temple voice could belong to everyone as we always speak,
So make the world a better place as loving tones we try and seek.
