IN THE BAPTISTRY
There’s a special feeling when you work in the baptistry,
There’s an air of excitement, yet it is as quiet as can be.
The youth come willing to work for many that are dead,
For until the dead are baptised they cannot forge ahead.

The splashing of the water, one more spirit is set free,
Now able to tread the path to a home that is heavenly,
How many will accept this gift, a happy day for some?
Come youth, come and work to have the baptisms done.

How many are coming with their own family names to do?
You can feel loved ones waiting for them to come through
The water, now freed from their sins, gone is the pain,
Come youth, come and do more family baptisms again.

Older folks just baptised can come and work as well,
Feel the spirit that always in the temple does dwell,
Feel spirits waiting at the waters edge to hear their name,
Come all, be baptised for others, that is a worthy aim.

I’m glad we were busy in the baptistry this night,
We had many done and they gained truth and light,
Then went on to be confirmed, performed by those who come,
It shows that you care, and want the Father’s will to be done.
