CHRISTMAS IN THE TEMPLE
It’s Christmas in the temple, but there’s no Christmas tree,
No pine garlands hanging, no gifts, mistletoe or bright holly,
Yet carols are sung and I am sure that the angles sweetly sing
As we all work together, someone’s salvation at last to bring.
The north wind blows cold, the bright sun is quite weak,
But inside is full of warmth, as the waiting spirits seek
For someone willing to share a special Christmas gift,
A path that leads to heaven, also give themselves a lift.
The Christmas lights are dancing on the cold white snow,
Come and enter in and let this work continue here below,
See how many gifts you can give to those who watch and wait,
Come and be refreshed and fed, please don’t drive past the gate.
It’s Christmas in the temple, and it is as peaceful as it can be,
It is so full of love and it’s own breath of sweet tranquility,
In the hustle and bustle of this wonderful time of the year
Spend time and give the gift of salvation to those waiting here.
