TEMPLE BLESSINGS
There is nowhere in the temple where you cannot find true calm,
Once through those holy doors you are free from all harm,
Put all your troubles behind you, just for an hour or two
And feel of God’s presence as love fills you through and through.

Listen to the covenants made ‘tween us and our God divine,
Learn all that is promised, learn line upon sacred line.
Come to know the Master, come to know him as a loving friend,
For He will never let you down, on Him you can always depend.

There are many ways that help us grow in this temple tall,
Blessing that we can study as we do the work for one and all,
Come refresh your memory of all the blessings that are given
To all His children, come feel them pouring out from heaven.

Be guided by the spirit, wend your way and find sweet rest,
Be guided by the promptings, follow them, that is far the best,
Be guided by loved ones now long departed from mortal frame,
Help them to find eternal life, then you will feel no shame.

But if we ignore the spirit and the voices as they quietly call,
Do nothing to help those who cannot help themselves at all,
I wonder what will happen to us, come the great judgement day,
When we stand before the Lord, I just wonder what we’ll say.

How many friends and family will greet us when we die,
Arms outstretched in loving welcome as they sweetly cry,
For joy and gratitude for all our temple service given,
That unlocked the gates of prison so they may enter heaven.
