SATURDAY NIGHTS AT THE TEMPLE

There is a sacred feeling even deeper and more clear
late Saturday evenings as we serve our God so dear.
The halls seem full of visitors from heaven up above,
as we serve with caring hearts, show a little extra love.

Patrons come and gain a glimpse of heaven for it is so near,
it would not surprise any of us, if angels we did hear.
The feeling is overwhelming, God’s love envelops all around,
a more sacred, peaceful place could not be easily found.

As sealings are performed each couple seem to be there,
waiting to hear their names, share the ceremony so fair.
Then they go away rejoicing, singing great songs of praise,
the temple seems alive with joy, as more learn of His ways.

The endowments are more enlightening, messages sure,
hearts have more understanding, more blessing seem to pour
out through each session. Heaven’s gates fling open wide,
and we seem so close to just stepping quietly inside.

So come to the temple on Saturday evening sometime,
share the sacred feeling, on a spiritual feast dine.
Come bask in God’s great love, make friends for eternity
as you do the work for them and show true charity.
