SOMETHING SPECIAL

Can I this day do something to improve my mind?
Some knowledge that can, with good inspiration find
A way to touch a heart, free someone from hurt and pain,
Give them hope to carry on, try and smile once again.

Find something special that will lift a spirit to a higher plane,
Something special that will light someone’s dying flame,
A word written that will lift a soul from the jaws of hell,
Something special he may read to help him feel all is well.

Can I do something special to aim higher toward a better way?
Read words that will brighten up my darkest or saddest day,
Do something special for a friend, see dull eyes brighten and shine,
Say the right thing to someone who has lost the will to climb.

Something special that will make both mind and spirit grow,
Something special to help you realize how freely blessings flow,
Find something special that you can do every day all life through
And you will be surprised at all the good that you can do.
