UNSEEN HANDS

If you can do a kindly deed
and let it not be known,
Help someone in a way they
think they did it on their own,
Smiled at a stranger going
down a busy road or street,
Throw a coin in a hat
of a poor beggar that you meet,
Do little things unnoticed
to spread joy and happiness,
Do not do kindly deeds
other folks to impress,
But if you can do it quietly
to help someone along life way,
You may never know the good
you did for them that day.
Unseen hands that help
reap heavenly blessings rare,
By not being praised on earth
there’s more blessing up there.
Place some cookies on a step,
ring the bell then run,
Hide behind a bush or tree,
watch their faces, see the fun.
Send a card to cheer someone
who’s feeling down,
You know they’ll wonder who
it’s from and take away a frown.
Unseen hands are blessed hands,
ones that really care,
Unseen hands are God’s hands
showing that love is there.
