A TEACHING OF JESUS
Jesus taught that we should love all mankind,
But how can we His great depth of love find?
If He says, ‘Love other as I have loved you,’
Surely this is the thing He would have us do.
We need to obey His commandments every day,
And earn the right to love in that special way,
That deep love won’t just come we have to try
And live like the Master and goals aimed high.
We may not like everyone but love should flow,
Overcome all our differences as His love we show,
Let us start right now to practice His pure love,
So begin to be found worthy of a mansion above.
Charity, the pure love of Christ, should be our aim,
If all worked on this the world wouldn’t be the same,
Wars would all cease and every cruel act go away,
Let some of us reach that goal before the terrible day.
