SACRIFICE DIVINE
Dearest, sweet Saviour of all mankind,
Is there any way that I could ever find
To ever repay the debt of gratitude to Thee,
For thy suffering and pain in Gethsemane ?
No one else worthy to pay that great price,
No one else perfect enough for the sacrifice
For sin, the one Lamb, unblemished and pure,
For this I will thee alway worship and adore.
How much of the suffering was just for me,
How many drops of blood drained from Thee
To wipe away all my sins and hurt and pain,
So I may one day after death sweet heaven gain?
Up to Thy suffering, Heavenly Father was by Thy side
Working as one with Him to heal, to bless and guide,
To make the atonement the perfect sacrifice divine,
Father had to leave thy side in loneliness to pine.
The burden of sin for everyone, paid for by thee,
Every wicked act, great or small, every atrocity,
Was place upon Thee, on one can imagine the pain,
Even Thy friends slept, their support was in vain.
My part is so simple, to repent of my every wrong,
To worship Thee in deed, word and my sweetest song,
To keep the commandments and follow Thy straight path,
But only because of Thee will any gain all the Father hath.
