VISION IN THE SKY
I thought I heard in the wind angel voices sweetly sing,
A melody once heard before a message to me did bring,
A message of comfort and one of love and good cheer,
Maybe because the joyous Christmas season drew near.
I thought I saw in the night sky a star brighter than the rest,
And patterned in the clouds, a mother, a child on her breast,
There was a quiet peace and tranquillity on that special night,
When my heart, through the sky, was filled with Gods light.
The clouds turned into shepherds and sheep safe in their fold,
The wind still sounded like the angels as the story did unfold
Of a babe born in a stable, for there was no room at any inn,
They seemed to be asking me, would I have kindly let Him in?
The clouds then formed the wise men and their camels too,
Gliding so proudly across that sky of nights darkest blue,
Heading for the Christ Child, then to worship Him in humility,
Three wise kings great, with bowed head and on bended knee.
I heard and saw a treasure on that night near Christmas day,
And I vowed from that night on I would follow the right way,
A vision in the clouds and the wind sang that sweet angel song
Even now I hear that wind sound like a sweet heavenly throng.
