More poems about the Birth of the Saviour

        WISE MEN
We know wise men sought Jesus
        when He was born,
Followed the star that appeared
        on that special morn,
Followed it diligently, faith
        never wavering
Then finding the child, worshipped
        Him with rejoicing .
Those today who seek and find
        Him are also wise,
Though they do not have to follow the
        star bright in the skies,
For there is true wisdom in seeking
        for every single day,
The light of the gospel and it is Jesus
        who shows the way.
Be wise and seek the Master in this
        world of hate and sin,
If you hear Him knocking, please open
        your heart, let Him in.
It is the foolish who think they can
        manage in their own,
Can find true happiness in life without
        ever being kindly shown
The path that leads to glory, the path
        that Jesus did tread,
They will not be like the wise who wish
        to be spiritually fed.
Help me to be like the wise men who
        followed the star of light,
Bringing my gift of a broken and humble heart,
        one truly and completely contrite.
