More poems about the Saviours birth

        WHEN THE ANGEL CAME
When the angel came to Mary all those years ago
Told her the gift which God on her did bestow,
Of how she humbly accepted the responsibility
And praised her God in heaven on bended knee.

Did she wonder why He was born in a stable cold,
Whose birth by prophets had so often been foretold,
Her son, God’s son nowhere warm to lay His head
The only place a stable where humble beasts are fed.

The scriptures say, she pondered things in her heart
On that incredible day, when the heavens did part
And the angels sang in glory, His birth to proclaim,
Singing Glory, Halleluiah , ever praise His great name.

Mary and Joseph guardian on this wonderful child,
They must have taught Him well to be humble and mild,
I wonder did the angels come instructions to kindly give,
Or were they good enough to teach by how they did live?

When the angel came to Mary did she really understand
The sacrifice she and her son would have to pay, the hand
Of pain that would crush her heart as she saw Him die,
Did she really understand and for His suffering simply cry?

When the angel came to Mary all those many years ago,
I wonder what would have happened if she said, NO.?
But, she said, be it done into me according to they will,
So God’s plan for all His children Mary did humbly fulfill.
