WAITED LONG
When the great day shall come,
The last fearful battle finally won,
Our hearts rejoice in sweet song,
For the Lord we have waited long.
What anthems the chosen one will sing,
How heavens rafters with joy will ring,
Every knee bowing, thy name to proclaim,
Lord, we have waited long for thy reign.
Satan at last bound, evil turned away,
Oh, the joy of the Millennial day,
Tears of sorrow changed for peace
We have waited long for joy to increase.
We will be glad and rejoice in love
Knowing the Lord has come from above
To rule and reign in pure righteousness,
Waiting long as thou us continue to bless.
