YE HEAVY LADEN
Matthew 11:28
Do you remember the kind words Jesus said one day
When He spoke as He journeyed and taught on His way?
“Come into me ye heavy laden and I will give you rest”
The rest that Jesus offered was truly of the very best.

For if we repent the burden of our sins are taken away,
For the weight of sin is heavy and hard to carry everyday.
Come unto me, is an open invitation to all of mankind,
What greater offer in this life of ours could we ever find.

To rest in the Lord usually means there’s lots of hard work,
For when our burden is lightened there is no need to shirk,
We can act and work for Jesus, we can be His hands and feet,
We can be a bright shining light to everyone that we meet.

I am glad He took my burden away, that I came unto Him,
That He loved me enough to ease my great load of sin,
Please don’t be heavy laden when His help is right there,
Turn and find the Saviour, through constant secret prayer.
