I KNOW THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD
I know the Lord is my Shepherd, I feel Him by my side,
His loving, guiding hand, keeping me safe, He’ll not hide,
He leads me, comforts me, He holds me close when in pain,
He answers prayers, His way, He hears me again and again.

I know the Lord is my shepherd, he stops me going astray,
Gently leads and guides me along the more righteous way,
I feel His hand in mine when the road is rough and dim,
He is my bright guiding light trying to keep me from sin.

I know the Lord is my shepherd for I am spiritually fed,
The bounties of His goodness, my beloved living Head,
Are always there for me, a spiritual feast is always mine,
The eternal blessings of heaven, learned line upon line.

I know the Lord is my shepherd for death has no sting,
Satan has no power over me, although his hosts he’ll bring
For the Lord is my shepherd, so no evil can ever harm me
If I keep Him in my heart, he will be my strength and stay.
