IN HIS LIKENESS
One by one the stars appear
to shine bright,
Little specs of brilliant light
in the dark of night.
Winking in the light of the moon
that glides softly by,
Stop and look for a moment at the
splendour of the sky.
If we could see farther than our
feeble human sight
Would we ever see an end to the
majesty of the night?
Or would stars go on forever
many galaxies to find?
We mortals are Gods masterpiece
leave trails of glory behind.
For we are His children, His own,
made in His likeness,
With His great gifts us will He
continually sweetly bless.
