WHO IS MY SHEPHERD?
As I travel along life’s busy highway,
And I struggle through each tiring day,
Where am I going, by whom am I led,
Am I by sweet, still waters kindly fed?

Do my footsteps follow a righteous path,
I am preparing to receive all the Father hath?
Will I know the good Shepherd’s holy voice
Or will my heart be worldly, make a bad choice?

Help me Lord to be a shepherd, find thy lost sheep,
Always protect and guide me in thy sacred, holy keep,
Place my feet firmly on the paths of righteousness
As I strive my best to serve, me, please, continually bless.

I pray that the Lord is my Shepherd, I’m in His tender care,
I’ll answer to His voice, I know He’ll always be there,
It is I who will wander away, he will be constant and true,
I want Him as my Good Shepherd all my life through.

For I feel His love fill me until my cup runneth o’re
And though troubles encompass me, Him I can adore,
He holds my hand through a dark and treacherous night,
I need His strength and I need His comfort and His light.

For when I go astray, all is dark and so full of despair,
I’ll try not to wander, stay by His side feel His tender care,
May I be worthy enough that He will know me as His sheep,
And at the last day I’ll know Him and for joy sweetly weep.
