JUDAS
What was Judas thinking when he
betrayed the Master?
He’d walked beside Him, seen the
great power that He had.
Did he have the wrong impression,
was it glory he was afte?
Did the ride into Jerusalem make
his heart feel glad?
Jesus would be their rightful king,
sit on David’s throne
Did he think to force His hand
on that awful day,
Want to bring Him more swiftly
to His own,
Not knowing the path the Saviour
had to humbly tread?
Oh, think of the different thoughts,
different ways to go
When Judas realized what he’d done
twas heavy on his head
When the true way the Lord to
him did show.
Or was he evil and greedy, full of
nothing but hate.
Then he understood his mistake
all to late.
