DO NOT THRUST HIM OUT
When Jesus taught in Nazareth, they thrust Him out,
How could a carpenters son be He they waited for,
Blasphemer! All His old friends did loudly shout,
Why did they not know Him and Him truly adore?
Are we sometimes like the Nazarenes, turn Him away,
Not believing in the miracles He performed so well,
Will we not know Him come that great judgement day?
Then find ourselves not worthy with our God to dwell.
They must have known He was good, stood for the right,
Yet they seemed offended, putting Himself as Gods Son,
Seemed to them impossible, He was a common sight,
Not Gods promised holy King the true anointed one.
Was it pride that hid the truth from those arrogant eyes,
Not a simple teacher with healing power and kindliness,
No, this type of man was one they should always despise,
For the great Jehovah would be proud and in rich dress.
Let us see this carpenter as the true Lord King of Kings,
Hands outstretched in mercy on that cross on Calvary,
Flesh torn and bruised and He suffered so many things
After suffering so cruelly in the garden of Gethsemane.
Please do not thrust Him out of your heart and mind,
Remember His birth, the Angels, the star that did shine,
Remember His teachings, His great miracles so kind,
Remember His promise that all God has can be thine.
