THOUGHTS OF BRIAN ON MOTHERS DAY.

I would not be a mother without you my dear,
I would be lost and wandering, full of fear.
For as long as I can remember, what I wanted most
Was to be a wife and mother, of my children boast.
I longed to hold my own baby, to feel their special love,
A precious gift that we made, sent from heaven above.
I don’t know if you felt the joy when I had conceived
Each dear child given to us? Hoping we could fill their need,
Share the joy of that first smile, the first shaky step, first day at school
Helping them learn many skills, watching them swim across the pool.
None of this could have happened, if we had never met my dear,
Never fallen deeply in love on a moonlit starry night so clear.
How can I ever thank you for the gift of each child that’s ours.
For the thousands of pleasant, wonderful happy hours
Spent holding, and teaching and guiding God’s spirits given
In trust by a caring Father, so showing us a part of eternal heaven.
