LOVE, NOW AND FOREVER
When two hearts entwine, love can be forever.
For God, in His wisdom, made the plan so.
A glance across a room, eyes look together
For a moment and it sets each heart aglow.
A gentle squeeze of a hand, better than a word,
For it can say I love you many times a day.
Your heart skips a beat when a footfall is heard,
And the smile on a face sends all sorrow away.
You hear the voice over the phone and joy you feel,
You see that face in a crowd, then struggle to meet
Alone together in sweet silence over a special meal.
Little kindly deeds done quietly seem so sweet.
Love is all things gentle, thoughtful and pure
May the two of you find that joy beyond compare
That makes you want each other forever more,
A love that grows better each day, love truly fair.
This blessing comes with giving of yourself everyday,
Comes from putting the other first, loving to the end,
It comes with deep understanding of living God’s way,
Listening to that still small voice, to that will bend.
Love each other always, ‘specially when things go wrong,
Keep that love light always bright, burning in your eyes
By saying the right word, being kind, loving and strong,
And never sleep on an angry word, that is very wise.
May your marriage be perfect as the trials appear,
May your love grow in stature now and everyday,
May you cling together always, trust and have no fear,
And you’ll be found worthy, if together you always pray.
