YOU MY PRECIOUS JEWEL

I have no need of diamonds, rubies or emeralds rare,
For I have something very precious, your love my dear.
You are my own jewel, Gods wonderful gift for me
Mine to treasure not just for now, but through eternity.

The qualities that you show, are jewel-like to me,
For they are indeed priceless and of great quality.
No price could I be offered for that special love we share,
No jewel however priceless, with our love can really compare.

A jewel has a lustre that glows with warmth and light,
Your eyes are filled with God's love, always shining bright.
That lustre makes my heart glow with that special love divine,
For it makes me always realise that you are truly mine.

A jewel has great strength, almost impossible to break,
That strength I feel across the miles, and me stronger make.
I know our strength together will see us strive and win
Our glorious home in heaven, and eternal glory win.

A jewel has great beauty, your beauty of soul I love.
For you are one of God's chosen, to dwell with him above.
That special gift of true grace is rare and quite unique
For you help others that are tired, lonely poor or weak.

So that is why I need no jewels to adorn my earthly frame,
For with you as my companion, they would all dim with shame.
For you are brighter than the worlds most priceless gem,
And you are mine forever, and to that I say a loud,AMEN.
