MY VALENTINE
There could be no better husband,
There could be no kinder friend
Across this our great land,
No one else with my time I want to spend.
He is a paragon of virtue this my Valentine,
Still treats me like a lady every single day,
I am blessed that this great man is mine,
I love him more now than when he first came my way.
The way he still looks at me, eyes all alight,
The comfort of his ever gentle touch,
The things he does to make my life shine bright,
It is no wonder that I love him so much.
There are no flowers fragrant enough to tell
The way I feel deep within my heart,
There are no chocolates sweet enough to sell,
That will be fit for the gift I want to impart.
So every day Ill try my all to freely give,
Show him by actions, words and deeds
That he is mine forever and will share as I live
My whole life, give all to meet his every deed.
And in return I know hell do just the same,
Hand in hand share a love that has no end,
There for joy and sorrow, there to share pain,
I am glad I had a valentine on whom I can depend.
