More poems about being together

WHEN I’M WITH YOU
The lake appears a deeper blue
The flowers a brighter hue
The world is a better place
There’s a smile on my face
When I’m with you.

The stars above shine much brighter
The moon gives more light and is bigger
The trees sing a sweet love song
Joined with the reeds so tall and long,
When I’m with you.

Going out is always more fun
Even when hard things need to be done
Nothing seems an effort to me
Life is worth living and so very free
When I’m with you.

The taste of food eaten out is better
Shopping is never a shackle or fetter
A drive in the car is wonderful
Life is never deary or dull
When I’m with you.
