CALLED HOME FIRST
He was called home first, called home above,
Leaving behind, his companion, his true love,
Even in heaven he missed her, she was his life,
Been together through all the joys and strife.
She longed to hold his hand, feel him by her side,
Her great love for her partner she could not hide,
Their anniversary was coming, never before apart,
She hoped he would come to ease her broken heart.
A loving God sent him down to call his sweetheart home,
She gladly followed him on this earth no longer to roam,
So often when two hearts learn to beat just as one so strong,
It seems that death has mercy will not let one linger too long.
But will sweetly call the other home, so together always be
Working in the spirit world in continued loved and harmony.
Just over two months these loved ones were kept apart,
The Lord in His great mercy, saved the breaking of her heart.
