TOMORROW IS VALENTINES DAY

Tomorrow is Valentines day, what can I find
As a gift for a husband who is loving and kind?
Chocolates he loves, but are not good for him,
So to give him favorite box would be a great sin.

If money flowed free, like my river of love so true,
I’d buy him diamonds, rubies and sapphires of blue,
Have a holiday on a warm island baked in the sun,
Walk hand in hand along the beach when day is done.

My heart is his already, I gave him that so long ago,
But just this Valentines I need a gift that will show
My love has grown much stronger than before,
And he is the only man that I ever could adore.

So I’ll buy a bunch of flowers with colours of every hue,
pointing out to him the virtues that over the years grew,
For many flowers have meanings and tell a loving tale,
That is one way I can tell my true love I’ll never fail.

Red rose for love, lavender for peace, daisy understanding,
Tulip means for ever, white lily purity, primula for spring
And all the refreshment and joy that season to us may bring,
For new hope springs eternal with leaf and birds that sing.

Happy Valentines my dearest are insufficient words to say
To a man I love so dearly, and in such a meaningful way,
But the love light in my eyes will tell him how I feel,
For he lights up my life and his touch can always heal .
