I WONDER
I wonder what it would have been like
To look deep into His eyes and feel His piercing gaze.
To feel the touch of His powerful hands
Upon my bowed head, my heart filled with silent praise.
I wonder what it would have been like
To hear the words he spoke, to feast upon every word,
And feel the strength of his masterful voice,
And remember the things that I heard.
I wonder what it would have been like
To watch Him heal the sick, to calm the roaring sea,
To feel the strength of His glorious power,
Knowing the Saviour He must be.
I wonder what it would have been like
To watch him hang in pain, His life blood drip away,
And feel of his great love and sacrifice,
And yet for others sweetly pray.
But I know as though I had been there
Of His great sacrifice and His pure divinity,
For I feel of His great love for us,
And this is my true testimony.
