God has given holy writ to guide us day by day
Do we just ignore it,saying we will read it some day.
Do cast our eyes inside those books we have been given
Or are we to busy not realizing they are the path to heaven
We have the bible that tells us many tales, all true
They show us what is right and wrong all the day through
It teaches of the Saviour, Hid life spent on the earth,
Of us wonderful resurrection and of our great worth.
We have the Book of Mormon, brought forth in latter days
It tells us in words so pure,to be good in all our ways.
It tells us of the Saviours visit to his other sheep
And how for many generations His commandments they did keep.
We have the Doctrine and Covenants, By prophets of today
And please don't forget the Ensign, to help us on our way
To a better understanding of what the lord would have us do
For if we read the scriptures, The lord will be there for you.
