LOVE INTANGIBLE !

Love cannot be measured by weight or height,
Love cannot be held in the palm of your hand.
It cannot be bought with riches or wealth untold,
Yet it is the essence of life, the source of light.

Intangible is not really a word I would say
To speak of love and its power so strong,
For the effects are quite tangible compared
To things we see and feel that's near everyday.

For love will shape a lost life and make it great,
It will stand stalwart through trails and strife.
Love will engulf an angry soul and bring peace,
Love will hold hands with the dying and just wait.

To love is to live, for without love we die,
Not from the outward signs, but from within.
There will be no love light burning in eyes
Bereft of love, a meaningless life passing by.

I long to ignite love into someone's sad heart,
Help them realize that God loves, really cares,
Help them see the good in all their fellow men
Then at the end of my life, I will have done my part.
