RETURNING WITH HONOUR
Chosen for a short while to serve in the kingdom here,
I am sure you often felt that the dear Lord was near,
Served with honour, your duties you did gladly fulfill,
For a few weeks you served well, did the Fathers will.
Well done thou faithful servant Jesus will say one day,
You sacrificed time and talents followed my hard way,
However short the service as long as you serve well,
Your reward will be one day with me in glory dwell.
You were honoured of the Lord to have this calling given,
You, by serving well have set your feet on the path to heaven,
Now when any other calling comes you know it can be done,
For all callings take sacrifice and a mission is a great big one.
Thank you for returning with honour proving yourself worthy
Of the blessings of heaven, know that no evil will you destroy.
With honour you accepted the call, with honour you are free
To go and still preach the gospel and a good example always be.
