TIME

If all time has done for you
Is pale a rosy cheek,
Or wrinkled a smoothed brow,
Or dulled the sparkle from the eye,
Or made your footfall weak.
The precious gift of time that's ours
You have all but thrown away
And squandered life's free gift,
Some day you may have to pay.
Now time is given to all men
In equal portion, truly fair,
The rich and poor the same do have,
All the same fair share.
So use this time wisely
Learn all in this life that you can,
Learn to be kind and thoughtful,
Learn to see the good in man,
Learn to look at nature.
Find time to see the beauty around,
Find time to look at the sunset.
Then true joy will be found.
Do not waste time with worry,
Do not waste time with hate,
But stop and help a neighbour,
Find time to chat at your gate.
Time is a free gift to us all,
So use it as best as you can,
Stop and think for a moment,
Stop and be good to all men.
