ON MOVING TO A SMALL TOWN.

I wonder what it will be like
To live in a place real small
Where there is no rush hour
And no where to go at all.

I wonder how long it will take us
To get used to the quite ways,
To have no malls or theatres
And winters very short days.

I wonder how many more stars will shine
Because of the darkness that's around.
For the bright city lights are far away
And there's only a few street lights found.

I wonder what new creatures we will see
As we take walks around our new home,
What birds will sing in the trees,
Will there be any when winter is come?

I wonder how friendly the people will be
Will they welcome us as part of their family?
Will we be able to use the talents we have
And help all we can in the community?

But there is one thing of which I am sure
And that will be enough my darling for me,
That is to know we are together,
To continue our lives, happily, eternally.
