FARMER BROWN MOUSE

Far off in the land of make-believe
Where the mice are like you nd me,
Lives a very fat friendly farmer,
As kind as he could be.

He has a pretty wife named Millie,
They have eight, maybe nine children,
Yet there is always room at the table
If you just happen to drop in.

He owns the land by the stream
Near where Jimmy and Paddy dwell,
Not far from old Grandma Mouse,
She lives there as well.

Where is this land of make believe?
How can you learn much more?
Come to the town of Middleton Marsh,
Where the mice have adventures galore.

Dear Farmer Brown loves everyone.
He is a very wise farmer too,
Twice a week he goes off to market
All through summer, and winter too.

So if you want to know more
About those Mice of Middleton Marsh,
And other neat places all around
With sweet sounding names, not harsh,
Have a word or two with Ann,
And she’ll tell you a tale or two
Of how they found Christmas,
And scared the big cat too.

What about the Forbidden Forest?
Would you dare to tread in there?
Cobbleton Common may call you,
Or Barn Hollow, pretty and fair.
So please, whatever you do
When this book comes out,
Just buy a copy or two
And meet Farmer Brown in person
Jimmy, Paddy and Grandma too..
Then go to the author, she’ll sign it for you.
