More poems about Places we go to

        GREY FORT QUILTS
There is a lovely place called St Jacob’s not far away,
Where we love to go for peace and spend part of the day,
All the stores are delightful, with wonderful sights to see,
Gifts and craft stores all around, a really fun place to be.

On King street where most of the stores can be found
Is “Grey Fort Quilts” a store a joy to browse around,
The windows are genteel and seem to invite you inside,
And my admiration for the store I could not try to hide.

The layout a pure delight to meet any visitor’s critical eye,
I am so glad we called in and did not idly just wander by,
A table set all blue and white, matching crystal shining there,
You could imagine your guests gathered happily everywhere.

Dolls in clusters as though they’d just met and were chatting away,
Nothing was jumbled, colours matching in a special kind of way
Making the store alive and vibrant, a place that’s just like home,
The staff so warm and friendly and always great help shown.

With quilts’n’cushions, aprons, linens, dolls napkins, oven mitts,
Many things for the baby and draperies that they will make fit,
A gift could be found for all your relatives and many a friend,
So please call in Grey Fort Quilts before your journey’s end.
